Jerry Baker - CEO
Jerry Baker, CEO of Halfpenny Technologies, has been successfully leading healthcare technology and services companies for two decades. From 2006 to 2008, he served as president and CEO of MRO Corporation, an EMR release of information services vendor based in King of Prussia, Pa. Prior to MRO, he was president and COO of Info-X, Inc., a New Jersey-based medical coding software company that was acquired by 3M in 2004. Info-X made the Inc. 500 list of "America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies," and was also honored by Deloitte and Touche as one of the 500 "Fastest Growing Technology Companies in North America.” Baker has also held key management positions with profit and loss responsibility at a number of early stage and Fortune 100 companies, including 3M, First Data Corporation and Baxter International. In addition to his responsibilities at Halfpenny, he serves on the board of directors of Health Services Integration, Inc. (HSI), a provider of software and services for the air medical transport industry and is a director for West Chester, Pa.-based Brandywine Airport.

Charles Halfpenny - President and Founder
A leader at the forefront of clinical data integration for more than 20 years, Charles Halfpenny is President and Founder of Halfpenny Technologies, Inc. He possesses extensive experience in developing CPOE, EMR and HIE solutions for hospitals and laboratories and served on the ASTM committee that developed the E1238 Standard Specification for Transferring Clinical Observations Between Independent Computer Systems. In addition, he developed the first commercially available order entry/results reporting application to utilize the ASTM E1238 standard, which was later incorporated into HL7. A frequent speaker at industry events on hospital connectivity to physician EMRs, Halfpenny pioneered computer-based medical records in 1987 with the creation of the award-winning Dr. Chart system. In October 1997, Advanced Health Corporation of Tarrytown, NY, acquired Dr. Chart. Halfpenny Technologies was founded in 2000 to meet the growing need for hospitals and laboratories to connect to HIS, LIS and EMR systems outside of their organizations’ technology environments.

Bob Cox - Executive Vice President of Business Development
As Executive Vice President of Business Development, Bob Cox will lead the company’s ongoing funding and M&A activities while facilitating our strategic relationships. Bob has a diversified background that includes 25 years of senior management experience in the healthcare industry turning early stage companies into market leaders. This includes technology development, sales leadership, operations, customer service as well as extensive merger and acquisition experience. Bob started his career with E.I. DuPont holding increasingly responsible positions in medical sales, customer service, and planning, both domestically and internationally. Bob has held executive management positions with Foster Medical, NovaCare, Inc. and Advanta Corp. In 1997, Cox became COO of Innovative Medical Research, Inc. and played a key role in merging the company with a public entity for 20 times earnings. Cox also led the development of i3ARCHIVE, a technology company he founded with the University of Pennsylvania to store digital medical images for hospitals. Additionally Bob was an Executive-in-Residence at two different private equity venture funds to evaluate healthcare investment opportunities. He has a B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Joyce Compton, MS MT (ASCP)SH - Vice President of Clinical Data Services
As Vice President of Clinical Data Services at Halfpenny Technologies, Joyce Compton manages a staff of medical technologists and other clinicians who support Halfpenny’s comprehensive offering of Test Code Dictionary Management, LOINC Mapping and Medical Necessity Applications. A co-founder of Halfpenny Technologies, Compton previously managed support services and quality assurance at West Virginia University (WVU) Hospitals. She has also served as an inspector for the College of American Pathologists and is an adjunct assistant professor at WVU School of Medicine. Her clinical domain expertise, along with 12 years of deploying and supporting health information technology solutions, provides a unique perspective that sets Halfpenny’s solutions apart from the competition.

Brian Morgan, PMP, MT (ASCP) - Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Brian Morgan is responsible for managing the project implementation and customer service teams at Halfpenny Technologies. Possessing 15 years of experience in LIS, hospital IT and lab outreach support, Brian leverages his medical technologist background, project management certification and extensive hospital experience to direct his team to provide Halfpenny’s clients with the highest quality implementation services possible. Previously, he managed IT project QA testing, installation and user training on various information technology solutions at Lourdes Health Systems and Main Line Clinical Laboratories.

Patrick Clarkin, MS - Vice President of Technology Development
As Vice President of Technology Development, Patrick Clarkin directs the software development team at Halfpenny Technologies. With more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry, he has extensive experience applying agile, yet disciplined methodologies in order to analyze and solve complex business problems through the innovative use of information technology. In his prior roles as a consultant, Patrick has been involved with major system implementations at numerous Fortune 500 companies. He has published technical articles in several IT industry journals. His degrees include a B.S. in Information Systems and an M.S. in Software Engineering, both from Drexel University.
